Dial Complete: Campaign for Clean Hands
Tis the season for colds, and my daughter is already leading the pack. According to Dial’s Campaign for Clean Hands website, kids average six to ten colds a year. And the best prevention? You guessed it…clean hands. Dial Complete, a foaming antibacterial hand soap, not only kills germs but comes in a variety of yummy scents. And in order to spread the word about the importance of clean kid hands to prevent illness, Dial’s Campaign for Clean Hands gives kids an opportunity to create a 15-30 second video about “why clean hands are important” giving them a chance to win a grand prize trip to Washington D.C. At last…a campaign with a positive message! I wish my kids were old enough to enter, but since they’re not, I’d love to feature your video on Cool Baby Kid, so be sure to send them to me. I gotta agree, antibacterial soap is the best thing for kiddos in the winter. So many colds and germs-it seems every year I get the flu-because someone at my daughter’s school or afterschool program comes down with it first. Alot of people never realize how many times you have to wash your hands when you have a newborn. It’s difficult to do when you are in your car changing a diaper or somewhere you can’t find a bathroom to clean up in. I found sanitation wipes or alcohol gel works wonders. I am a little bit OCD and wash my hands at least 10 times a day! I think it is contagious in our home because my husband has become more of a hand washer than he was before we met, and my 3 young children really are pretty good about washing their hands too! I think as long as the hand soap smells like fruit or has a nice sweet scent, the kids actually enjoy using it! Of course they play with the water while they are washing, but I don’t give them a hard time about it because it is only water and I just wipe up when they are done. Let’s face it, we have to pick and choose our battles carefully and as long as they are washing their hands, I let them play a little! We sure can use this soap – we go through it very fast in our house!joannaonthelake@gmail.com
