Cakes by Me
I’m not a Martha Stewart type by any means. However, my new favorite thing in the world is a company called Cakes by Me which allows you to create your own professional-looking cakes. This month I was in charge of dessert for our “Gourmet Club” (couples who cook and share recipes.) I figured I’d show up all Martha-like with a Safari Trek cake and impress the gang. And it worked! I took the materials out of the super cute box they came in and got to work. I simply baked the caked, added the edible scene and decorative icing, and placed the trees and safari car on top….done! I then yelled to anyone who would listen, “Check it my cake! Doesn’t it look awesome!?” (There’s nothing like patting yourself on the back every once in a while.) So I will henceforth be known as the cake lady and plan on bringing Cakes by Me to every event I can think of. Easy as pie…or cake in this case.
