Since I’ve never used cloth diapers myself, but wanted to pass along a review of Blueberry Cloth Diapers to my readers, Mollie, a Cool Baby Kid guest reviewer, tells us what she thinks.
There are basically three types of cloth diapers: a prefold diaper for which you need a corresponding cover, a pocket diaper which has a cover and liner build right in and you “stuff” it with cloth inserts to customize your absorbency, and an all-in-one which is exactly what it sounds like…liner, insert and cover all in one piece. The Swaddlebees Econappi is a one-size pocket diaper which means theoretically you can use it from birth through potty training. It’s made with a waterproof outer layer and an inner layer of organic cotton velour and comes with a one-size insert made of organic cotton velour and hemp. We have the super cute cow print and hook and loop closures (Velcro). The diaper is well constructed and the interior is really soft which my little one’s bottom seems to enjoy. I like this diaper overall, but there are easier to use inserts and while my son is 30 lbs and on the slender side and the diaper fits is extremely well, if he was chunkier or much heavier it may not fit, but this is largely the downfall of one-sized diapers and toddlers. Overall, this is a very nice, well constructed diaper. The absorbency was ample for my little guy and there were no “blow-outs.” It held up well to washing the two times I’ve use it so far. -Mollie, CBK Guest Reviwer
Cool Tip: Mollie advises: “I would go with the snap closures rather than the hook and loop to extend the life of the diaper.”
