Going to BlogHer: We’re Connecting, Not Competing

I originally considered this post for Ask Baby Kid since that blog is geared toward blogging but realized some CBK readers are also bloggers. I want to be sure to connect with everyone I’ve had the pleasure to connect with over the last year and a half since Cool Baby Kid was born….AT BlogHer!!! I’m so excited to have the opportunity to attend the conference, meet some of the incredible people in real life and find ways to work with other bloggers in the coming year. If you’re a blogger looking for sponsorship to BlogHer, check out “How do you get sponsorship to a blog conference?” I’m incredibly lucky to represent two companies whose products are cornerstones of the industry that I’m excited to help promote. One thing I’ve learned as a blogger is the importance, the necessity actually, of networking with other bloggers. Their ideas and ingenuity continue to amaze me. Unlike other industries, bloggers, even in the same genre, are not in competition. In fact, even some of “the biggies” share readers and are therefore able to work together to cross-promote and bring exciting new ideas to those opening their inbox each day with posts about kids, contests, or product reviews. Please let me know by commenting on this post if you’re a reader, fellow blogger, MBC member, Twitterer, or in any way connected with Cool Baby so I can connect with you this summer in Chicago. I can’t wait!
