As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand how difficult it can be to take an idea from conception to reality. One of my favorite facets of blogging has been the ability to showcase businesses with great ideas and products for babies and kids. Here’s a neat one: the Baby Dipper feeding set. Invented by mom Barbara Schantz who saw a need for a better designed baby bowl, it’s winning features are the non-skid bottom and contoured interior which aides food in pooling to the bottom, wasting less and making one-handed feeding a possibility. The Baby Dipper Bowl and Spoon Set is a wonderful invention, with it’s non-slip base, contoured interior that guides food to the spoon, vertical sides and slopped interior surface collects food at the bottom of the bowl and into the spoon. This product not only allows for one-handed feeding, it helps toddlers to feed themselves. Not to mention the bowl is lead-free, phthalat-free, and BPA-free. But what really amazes me is the fact that the inventor, Barbara Schantz has two sets of twins! This is a fantastic idea! My son is such a little squirmer during meal time and it gets very challenging to feed him when both my hands are occupied with spoon and bowl. The one handed idea is wonderful!

The Baby Dipper Bowl and Spoon set is a neat invention. I like the fact that it is non-slip. I would love to win this set for my son.

Everything about this bowl seems designed for convenience and ease of use. I also like that the transparent sides allow easy viewing of food.
What a practical and helpful invention! This would be great for my son. He is just starting to have interest in feeding himself. It seems like this makes learning to self feed less stressful for both baby and mom!

My nephew is very independent and always insists on feeding himself. Unfortunately, he is not very coordinated yet and it usually results in a mess. I love that this product makes it ok for kids to want to be “big kids”. It is great that the spoon fits into the corner so that they can get every last little bit without spilling all over the place.
