I thought this science kit by The Young Scientists Club would a fun ‘rainy’ day activity for my five and seven year old nephews. The kit comes complete with easy to follow directions and all the essential tools needed for the science experiments excluding water and milk. It took us about an hour to complete all the experiments which include making fake snow & slime, growing marbles & gel crystals, forming bouncy balls, performing a magic trick, and creating glue from milk. The experiments were not messy or hard to clean up at all. The only advice I would give is to make sure you are working in a open work space with room to spread everything out. I spread newspaper down on my kitchen table to be safe but it was actually not even needed. The clean was quick and easy too, and the boys loved watching the marbles and gel crystals grow. I would say their favorite part was definitely making the slime and playing with it. This is a great gift for any child that loves creating, discovering,and experimenting with scientific endeavors.
