Let me just say that if you have kids (or a husband…wink, wink) YOU NEED THIS BOOK! When I first agreed to do this review I thought, “I hope this isn’t some fancy decorating book that suggests you spend a lot of money to redo your home” but after reading it I found it is exactly the opposite! It is practical.

Now let me tell you the best part, Slob Proof! Real Life Design Solutions by is useful and fun to read. The author, Debbie Weiner, makes this book an easy read. It is written with such wit and so well organized that you can look up any decorating question with ease. I got some great tips on everything from picking a new paint color and finish for my toddler’s room to where to place lighting in a room and how to choose blinds and curtains which is one of my biggest decorating problems. I am so clueless on so many design topics that this book has become my new decorating bible and suggest it becomes yours too.
