Write Way to Learn Reading & Writing Learning Kit

Reading and Writing Instruction

Reading, writing, speaking and listening…the art of language and communication is a familiar topic to me as an grade Language Arts teacher.  However, not being as versed in early childhood education with so many resources available to assist preschoolers in the fundamentals of reading and writing, a program such as Write Way to Learn is invaluable.  A Power Pack designed specifically for 3-7 year olds teaches language skills essential for success in school and beyond.  We tried it out with our nearly four year old daughter.  Here are the highlights:

  • Customizable cards allow for a child’s photo, name, drawings or stories.  The kids love seeing their own picture and having a card personalized to their specific learning needs such as learning the word “Nonnie.”
  • The basics are included (letters and numbers with photos but goes further and teaches letter sounds too.  And what kid doesn’t love animal examples?
  • Learning cards offer phonics practice opportunities which should be an essential part of an language program.
  • A CD-ROM not only includes printables and worksheets but reward certificates which we can been using as an addedincentive.
  • The extra learning board and wipe-off markers are perfect for dreaming up pictures, letter combinations and words or just about any written symbols you or your little student want to learn.

A guidebook and recyclable tote make Write Way to Learn ideal for road trips.  We took ours camping and conducted “Learning Time” at the campsite!  If you’re looking for a way to work with your young learner at home to teach and reinforce Language Arts skills, we highly recommend checking out the Write Way to Learn Power Pack.

I learned that Write Way To Learn was founded by Angie Sharp, a mom with a passion to make learning fun and easy for children. I personally have 2 kids that would fit this program to a “T”. My youngest has been struggling a bit in the handwriting dept., since we do virtual schooling at home this would really help me out.

I really like how this kit can work with varying levels from those kids who haven't started to read/write on up in level and does so in an engaging, fun way, connecting to the naturally playful and curious nature of most kids. I also love that this packed kit can be persononlized for each child. It incorporated proven strategies of teachers, therapists and the like…its nice for the parent who is interested in giving hteir child a headstart and having an active role in their child's learning, you know?
