With the birth of his first daughter, Gia, Mario Lopez is adding fatherhood to his repertoire. We had a chance to catch up with him a few days ago on a conference call during Gia’s baby shower sponsored by Pampers. Mario’s successful acting career, workout routine and now a new baby, he’s doing double duty just like the divas which include Angie from My Four Monkeys and Renee from What Mommies Need who also participated in the phone interview. We wanted to know how he balances work, family and his famous workout routine, especially with a newborn in the house whose sleeping habits aren’t so regular just yet.
As you can see in the video below which captured our chat, a new baby in the family forces Mario like most parents manage time a bit differently. He gets up a little earlier in the morning and intensifies his workout after work, cutting it short to spend to spend more time with baby Gia. Chatting about his hopes for his new daughter and raising a “celebrity baby,” Mario stressed treating media with respect and living his life as normally as possible. From his baby shower theme to his rush to the delivery room, listen for yourself as we ask Mario all about being a new father:
Cool Tip: Catch up with Mario Lopez yourself on his new reality show, “Save by the Baby” which premiers November 1, 2010 on VH1.
Extra Big Thank You: Pampers, the baby shower host and Cool Baby Kid partner, allowed us the opportunity to talk with Mario about parenting and more…thank you Pampers.

Okay, is it sad that– no matter WHAT this guy has done over the past couple of decades– I still can’t see him as anyone but AC Slater?
) Ah, the wonder of being a child of the 80s….
