From Seal Shores (pictured) to a West African River Experience where the kids will meet Button and Genny, two Nile hippos much bigger than the ones they remember in Hippos Go Beserk, Adventure Aquarium is a fun day trip for those in the Northeast region like ourselves.
Without a doubt out favorite attraction was the Shark Realm where we walked through a 40 ft. shark tunnel. The biggest surprise of the day for me was seeing penguins up close and personal at Penguin Island. They were a little smaller than I had imagined (even after my husband reminded me I said the very same thing the last time I saw penguins.)
Though we didn’t make the 4D theater or experience an adventure such as swimming with sharks, we did rendezvous in the rainforest and touch stingrays in the Stingray Beach Club. While lunch was a bit crowded, the old “divide and conquer” method proved useful–one waits for a table while the other orders food. I would recommend Adventure Aquarium for a fun day trip with the kids and hope to head back again for more undersea adventures.

I love this place! It is such a great place to go for a day trip with the kids. The kids loved the shark and ray pools the most because it was hands on. They also have great educational toys for kids there too! Also it is such a great place to get a picture in front of the Philly skyline too!
