Kid-Proof Your iPad with M-Edge SuperShell

M-Edge SuperShell

Take some friendly advice from an iPad 2 owner with two kids–parents needs to protect their iPad 2 from their little ones.  Here’ are a few rules as an iPad Dad I’ve come to learn:

Rule # 1: Kids want to use your iPad 2.

Rule #2: It’s only a matter of time before your  kids accidently drop your iPad 2.

Rule # 3: iPad 2′s are not very durable in their hands of kids, and the screen cracks rather easily.

Even though Apple may replace you iPad 2 screen for free the first time,  the second time you’re on your own.  Take if from me.  However all is not lost as there are a number of iPad 2 repair facilities on the web who will repair it after relieving your wallet of about $200. Therefore, if you plan to allow your kids to use your iPad 2, you will want the maximum protection for it, and we found just that  in the New SuperShell by M-Edge. This case is bulky rather than sleek, but  just the right size for kids to hold.  It features a closed cell foam construction with lots of padding at the corners where damage most often occurs. The case has a dimple texture which is easy for kids to grip a feels like the Nerf toys we had when we were kids.  My only complaint is I have to slide the cover off the edge to turn the power off, but the case does stretch some so this can be accomplished easily. My kids have dropped it several times from the couch to the carpet without any damage, though I’m still too scared to test it on the tile. The cost, $29.99, is a small price to protect a much larger investment. If you allow you kids to use your iPad 2– there are a lot of great educational apps– my kids love and learn from, buy a cover which will protect your investment, the SuperShell by M-Edge.
