Pocoyo Swiggle Tracks Review & Giveaway

If you are looking for a great last minute Christmas present for your 18 month old to pre-school age child, this is the toy for you.  Easily available at retail stores across the country or online, the Pocoyo Swiggle Track system is an ideal toy for a pre-school age child.  Swiggle Tracks are great for my 3 year old son who loves trains.  To begin, the versatile tracks are flexible, durable, and can be easily manipulated into various positions.  The tracks are just the right size for those little hands to maneuver into whatever shape they can imagine.  This allows your child to become creative, imaginative, and helps with their fine motor skills.  The best part is you can purchase more tracks to add onto the Pocoyo system to create different designs for this train like toy.  The motorized automobile and moving bridge also allows children to combine different motor skills in handling and using the equipment.

My son loves the movable bridge and musical playing car. Not to mention these pieces amuse my 3 month old while my son plays away. Your child can also work on his hand-eye coordination with the blue ball that is included.  As a teacher, I seize any opportunity for a teaching moment.  With these SwiggleTraks, I can review the colors while my child plays. Another factor is this affordable and you could enhance the range of play options in the future by ordering additional goods via Pocoyo’s array of toys.  Children really enjoy when their favorite characters can come to life in their own living rooms and Swiggle Traks does  just that with Pocoyo. If your child loves trains or loves Nick Jr.’s ocoyo, these Swiggle Traks are a great way of having your child use their imagination through play.

Luster 1 Hour White Tooth Whitening System Review

After trying two tooth whitening systems, one much more expensive than Luster which claims to whitens up to shades in one hour, I was not very hopeful about the results. But after just one hour, there was a noticeable difference in color and finally I can recommend an at-home tooth whitening system.

Without any tooth sensitivity, the Luster system which was created by dentists, includes a three step process. First, a rinse to cleanse the teeth. Next you apply the whitener with a brush tooth by tooth. Finally, shining the light activation which for two minutes clinches the deal. You can repeat the process under your desired shade is achieved (not to exceed 20 times in an hour.)

I whitened while watching Ice Age with the kids and would recommend the 1-hour tooth whitening system if you’re able to set aside a time to complete the process. Otherwise the Weekend White which takes a few minutes over the course of three days may be more your speed.  Entertainment Tonight added Luster Premium White to their Emmy Party gift bag, and we can see why. An affordable tooth whitening system that is painless (seriously, no sensitivity at all) and works, Luster is a new CBK top pick.

YBike Extreme: Promotes Balance and Fun *Giveaway*

The new YBike Extreme is a promising find for promoting balance.  After spending the summer with my three and five year old progressing beyond their big wheels and moving onto their first two wheel bikes, of course with training wheels.  I witnessed their hesitation and fear of falling even with training wheels and often wondered, “How can I possibly remove the training wheels?”  I now have hope thanks to YBike that a safe orderly transition to a two wheel bike may be possible.  The YBike is designed for 3 to 5 year olds and works perfectly on our carpeted basement and although our carpet is plush, the YBike Extreme easily moves across it. We chose the extreme model because our kids are a little older and also because the extreme works well off road.

The standard model has a wider rear wheel and therefore seems to be a little easier to balance. Assembly was very easy and only took about 15 minutes; no tools required.  Both kids have been experimenting riding back and forth across the basement and are truly enjoying their new YBike.  In a week’s time I have seen their balance improve with longer and faster movements.  I am confident that by next year, they will be able to balance, and I’ll be able to remove their training wheels. My only job will be to teach them to peddle.  Thanks YBike for putting my mind at ease.

Goosie Personalized Flashcards *Top Pick & Giveaway*

Goosie flashcards embody every single Cool Baby Kid cool-factor. Unique, customizable, educational and just plain awesome, these have been numerous of our best of the best lists for years.  When they recently contacted me to check out a new card creation process now that Goosie has partnered with Walgreens, I was overjoyed. Test out one of my all-time favorite products…a no-brainer. I must have been onto something as they were even featured on People.com!

An ingenious mom who realized the influence personalized pictures had during a learning session with her son began to offer custom flashcards that enabled users to upload pictures and text for create one-of-a-kind creations. The new system is so easy even providing pictures to supplement your own. Just enter Goosie at Walgreen Photo Center, choose Signature or Everyday Collection, upload your pics, add text and voila! Using Goosie flashcards to create custom ABC cards is great suggestion, but since mine are learning to read, I used the opportunity to create custom sight word flashcards. The trickiest part of our creations were integrating sight words to match pictures of the kids and our family members. But with phrases “Nonnie & Grampa Mont Love Us,” I was able to accomplish this goal.

Goosie also offers gift certificates for a unique baby gift, toddler birthday gift or preschooler present. I highly recommend both for personal use and as a gift idea and will be absolutely utilizing them again in the future for just that.  It’s just a shame I don’t have a “Best Unique, Educational and Customizable Gift Ideas” guide to include these in.

Star Tips On Loosing Baby (or Holiday) Weight

Whether you’ve eaten one too many Christmas cookies (like myself) or are working on loosing baby weight, Courtney Mazza, girlfriend of Mario Lopez who we chatted with last Fall about the birth of daughter Mia, has a few tips. With 30 lbs. to loose, she relied on a three-pronged effort: diet, exercise and Healthy Trim. Light on carbs and heavy on protein, her sample diet is outlined this in In Touch Weekly and includes oatmeal, lean meats and almond snacks. With the aid of supplement Healthy Trim, an all-natural healthy weight loss supplement that includes ingredients Resveratrol, green tea leaf, authentic Hoodia, among others, she was able to regain her size 2 pre-baby figure. Interested in learning more about Healthy Trim? Follow them on Twitter or Facebook or visit their website. Interesting…
