Famous for ready-to-use pie fillings, for this Valentine’s Day season Lucky Leaf shares the love with yummy recipes including their Chocolate Cherry Cake with Rum Ganache and Lucky Stars Ginger Spice Apple Tart. In the meantime, enjoy Layers of Love!

Ingredients

1 18.25-ounce package chocolate cake mix, prepared

1 4-serving size package instant chocolate pudding mix, prepared

2 21-ounce cans LUCKY LEAF ® Regular or Premium Cherry Pie Filling

2 cups frozen whipped topping,thawed

Chocolate curls (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Prepare cake mix according to package directions and bake in a 13”x9” baking pan. Let cake cool completely and cut into 1-inch cubes.

Prepare pudding mix according to package directions. Chill at least 30 minutes. Place half of cake cubes in a 3- to 4-quart trifle bowl. Spoon one can of the LUCKY LEAF Cherry Pie Filling over cake; spread 1 cup pudding over cherries and top with half of whipped topping. Repeat layers.

Top with chocolate curls, if desired. Cover and chill at least 1 hour

Makes 12-14 servings

The Big Red Chicken is doing magic tricks and for his first trick, he turns Boots into a chicken. When he tries to turn him back into a monkey, he lets out a big sneeze that propels the magic wand into Magic Land. Dora and friends set off on a magic-filled journey in order to get the wand fixed so Boots can become a monkey again.

Swiper is packing all of his favorite things for a sleepover at his Grandma’s House — his pajama trunk, his favorite puppy book, and his very special funny bunny. Just as he is about to leave, a big wind gust comes in and blows everything away! Dora and Swiper journey to Crocodile Lake, through the Jumbled Trees, and race to Strawberry Hill to get Swiper’s favorite things back.

Pinto is really excited about the Big Horse Show and he’d like to win his very first blue prize ribbon. Dora, Boots, and Pinto are taking a train to the show, but the train breaks down and they worry they won’t be able to make it!

Boots loves to hear stories about knights who go on heroic adventures and Don Quixote (Andy Garcia) tells Dora and Boots that anyone can be a knight as long as they help others. Boots would love to be a knight and so would his friends Rocinante the horse and Dapple the donkey, but they need someone to rescue. Dora takes out her spotting scope and they discover a princess calling out for help from the Royal Garden. Dora, Boots, Rocinante and Dapple set out through the Puppet Stage, past Tico’s Carousel to get to the Royal Garden and save the princess.

We are going to Disney this year and have booked the Port Orleans French Quarter and are on the Plus dining plan (1 snack/1 quick meal/1 sit down meal) per day.  Our travel agent said we can and probably should start booking reservations early, which can always be changed/cancelled later.  Can you recommend some places that are a must to eat at?  I would like to at least try to reserve some places now and figured we can always change down the road.  Of course, we have looked online but there are so many and it seems so overwhelming that I really would like to know the better places that may be worth going.  We are looking for places that are included in the dining plan (don’t want to pay extra).  We are planning on doing the princess story time at Epcot that AAA members are allowed to go to so that will most likely be the princess adventure the girls will do. Whatever info you can provide would be very helpful.  Thanks!

You should definitely make dinner reservations as soon as possible since some are in high demand and resort guests can reserve 180 days prior to their check-in date. They can be altered or cancelled later, so if you change your mind it’s better to have something in the books now. Our favorite is Cinderella’s Castle, but since you already have a Princess experience on the agenda, here are a few more of our favorites:
