It’s no secret Cool Baby Kid partner Pink Bowtique is our source for boutique hair bows but they also have other girlie accessories too. We’re into headbands lately and wanted to share some of their selections. We clip the flowers to hard headbands and occasionally use the soft ones too. The SippiGrip: No More Dirty Cups {Giveaway & Coupon}

My daughter just started this fun game of tossing things like her bottles…her toys….her food. She throws them, I pick them up and clean them and give whatever it was back to her so that we can start it all over again. The Sippigrip can’t help much with food but it’s been amazing when she’s in her highchair or stroller and decides to start throwing everything else I give her. The concept is so simple that I kick myself for not coming up with the idea myself.The Sippigrip is adjustable so that I can make it shorter when my daughter is in her stroller and longer when she’s up a bit higher. It also has a grip on the inside that really holds whatever object you’re using it for and it’s totally machine washable.

Things are hectic enough around our house without having to constantly pick up and clean her things. Bebe Soleil: Protective Sun Shade for All Seasons {Giveaway}

My girlfriend and I went for a walk yesterday, and we used the Bebe Soleil sunshade on her son’s stroller. It was extremely easy to attach; I peeled off the plastic and let the magnets hold the sun-visor in place on the stroller’s apron. As we walked we continued to monitor if we could see him through the sunshade and neither of us had an trouble at any point along the walk. At this time of year in the Northeast wind and cold is also a factor when walking. As we continued our walk the sun was no longer a factor but the wind became an issue and the baby was reacting to the cold. So we took the sun-visor and wrapped it around the lower portion of the stroller and used it as a wind protector. It worked wonderfully! Her son actually fell asleep for the rest of the walk. We never had to reposition the sun-visor and it kept the wind from hitting the baby.


We love when you can find a product that serves duel purposes, and the Bebe Soleil shade is definitely one of them. Using the sun visor as a wind protector was not our intent but it worked just as well protecting both the sun and wind. The shade itself is small and rolls right up into a tube like shape with a band on one side to hold it compactly in place. It is quick and easy to put on and take off–less then a minute either way. My girlfriend actually ‘stole’ this product from me at the end of the walk so I’ll need another one. This is a great product for any parents who uses a stroller all year round.

Flexi8 Flexible Hair Barrette : A New *Top Pick* {Giveaway}

I love my new Flexi8 as much as the Bounce dryer bar which was a Quick Tip Tuesday a few weeks ago. Why the comparison between two seemingly opposite products? Because they are without a doubt my new favorite things right now…one makes life easier for this busy working mom, and the other makes me look a bit less like a busy working mom. Because I have long, thick hair, the options for putting it up normally consist of a ponytail holder (my usual choice) or a “claw” clip which is downright ugly. A few months ago I asked my hairdresser to show me something “different” to do with my hair. She twirled and twisted it into the neatest style that I’ve yet to be able to replicate. So when I received a small, medium and large Flexi8 I will admit to being skeptical about it being able to hold up. After watching a quick video and choosing the “Up and Down” style which is similar to a French Twist, in two tries my twist looked exactly like the one on the video!

Excited about the possibilities, I then watched Extra Hair, Half Twist and Tails Up videos. The website claims that once trying out the Flexi8 flexible barrette “LOOK OUT…you’re in love.” It’s true. I wear them every day to work when I’m too lazy to straighten my hair. My mother even tried to steal the large size from me, but she wasn’t quick enough. At $9.99 and up, the Flexi8 is less expensive than hiring your hairdresser to come home with you. (On a side note, I love my hairdresser and asked her once how much she would charge to do my hair everyday. Her answer? More than you can afford.) And please don’t ask me to choose between my Flexi8 and Bounce bar, an impossible choice.
