Gone are the days of the dainty, wind up mobiles. The 21st Century mobile is here–Tiny Love Soothe ‘n Groove Mobile.  This colorful mobile is sure to keep your baby engaged with eighteen different musical selections broken down into six categories.  One of the categories is the “white noise” feature that keeps your newborn feeling safe and familiar.  It also has two speakers that you can adjust the volume according to your liking.  The best part is that the mobile plays for 40 minutes…yes, 40 minutes!  You can also choose to play happy tunes for your child’s enjoyment or more relaxing tunes for helping baby calm helself to sleep.  The variety of music keeps my three  month old amused and engaged in her crib while mommy is cleaning th bedrooms and getting ready for the day.  The Tiny Love Soothe ‘n Groove mobile also features a calming light as well as an overhead light.  When the music is playing the buttons also light up which stimulates my daughter.  

When she has outgrown this unique mobile, she can enjoy pushing the toddler friendly buttons which will enhance her fine motor skills.  Once she can walk, she can carry around the music box for more months of enjoyment. The detachable mobile can be stored away for future use while my daughter can still enjoy the musical tunes and continue to stimulate her senses.  This product grows with your child from birth up until she is walking around the house. It’s very easy to put together and take apart when the time comes.   Your child will surely enjoy the Tiny Love Soothe ‘n Groove Mobile, and I highly recommend.

Nonnie’s Pick: Wall Bumpi Bedrail & Bed Bumper *Discount Code*

Wall Bumpi

The Wall Bumpi is a clever way to make a visit to Grandma and Grandpa’s house safer for the kids and easier for grandparents. The bedrail bumpers can are very light weight so there is no heavy lifting. They strap on to the bed securely and keep even a pretty active sleeper in the safe zone on the bed. The bumper is essentially a long wedge of foam encased in a washable cover and secured by stout washable straps. The straps go around the bed mattress the same direction as the wedge, so there is nothing to entangle the child. In our case, we strapped the bumper on one side of the bed, laid the five year old down on the inside of it, and the Grandma laid down beside her. There was no worry that the little one would roll out of bed so both slept soundy. Our three year old tumbling boy likes to sleep with an arm or leg over it, but does not go over. With the wedge on one side of the bed and grandpa on the other, both had a good night’s sleep. Of course there is the option of using both bumpers on one bed, but in our house our babies like to share our bed!

Safety 1st Rumi™ Air Harnessed Booster Car Seat

The Booster seat of the future has arrived. The Rumi™ Air Harnessed Booster Car Seat by Safety 1st is AWESOME.  The FlexTech™ Energy Management System technology actually absorbs forces in a car accident instead of those forces hitting your child.  I love how secure my child’s head is from back to sides compared to all other booster seats on the market.

With that being said, I am a first time parent and my husband and I installed the Rumi which comes in the box with the Latch and 5 Point Harness ready to install.  We took out the 5-point system to get it ready for the booster mode.  The directions were step by step and incredibly easy to follow.  My husband and I didn’t even argue throughout the 10 minute process.  However, when we put the Booster in, we decided we were not ready to make the transition to a Booster seat.  My son makes the 40 lb limit but has some inches to go for the height requirement.

The great thing about the Rumi car seat is that it has a higher weight range of 65 lbs to keep your child in the internal harness system longer. We were able to re-thread the harness system which again step by step directions with illustrations and color coding enabled us to have a peaceful re-installment.  It was really that easy. Also, because the Safety 1st Rumi Booster car seat has 2 modes of use for forward facing from 22-65 lbs and belt positioning from 40-100 lbs and 57 inches in height, it can protect your child longer than most other car seats. The easy-adjustable headrest properly aligns Air Protect with the child’s head, where it’s needed most.

My son also loves the cup holder and little storage tray. He calls his new car seat his rocket ship and absolutely loves it! We now look at the Booster seat we have for our other car and both agree it’s getting returned to purchase another Rumi.  The price is higher, but the fact that this Rumi Booster seat is the safest booster seat out there give me peace of mind that my child is safe and there is not a price tag on that kind of assurance.

Bestever Animal Themed Baby Mats *Giveaway*

With the exception of clothes, obviously, I buy everything gender neutral for my daughter. This was also the case when picking out my Best Ever Baby Mat. I picked out the Cow Baby Mat thinking this would be a great hand-me-down when my daughter grows out of it as babies tend to do rather quickly. When I unpacked the mat from the box I wished I had gotten one especially for my daughter because this is sure to grow with her. The Best Ever Baby Mat is adorable, soft and small enough to lug around from room to room or from play date to play date. These could be used for nap times for newborns and infants, for baby areas, which is what I call the area in every room dedicated to baby’s play area, and as a sleeping companion for a toddler or young child.  There are very few baby items out there that are able to grow with your baby but I’m just glad that I found one of them!

My biggest pet peeve with diaper bags is how messy they quickly became which is why the Pocket Rocket by Scout would have been ideal. Though I use the wipable bag for toting around groceries and even once on a picnic with the kids, I could see it’s appeal as a diaper bag which easily attaches to the back of a stroller.
