Boon Bath Toys: Fun for Kids and Parents Too

One would imagine the Splat Floating Ring Toss by Boon is actually for tossing rings. Tell that to my toddler daughter who thinks her new bath bracelets are fabulous. There’s a reason Boon actually has a category on the sidebar and the new bath toys are no exception.

  • Scrubble – Interchangeable Bath Toy Scrub Set, $9.99
  • Water Bugs – Floating Bath Toys with Net, $7.99
  • Splat – Floating Ring Toss Game, $7.99

All are BpA-free, PVC-free, and phthalate-free but not fun free! If you get any of these bath toys do me a favor. Tell me if you can’t stop staring at the water bugs so I know it’s not just me. And if you are actually able to ring the splat from outside the tub (yeah, I know it’s supposed to be for the kids) let me know because neither I nor my husband have done it even once.

Boon Frog Pod: Fun, Practical Bath Toy Storage

It’s as rare to love every single product from one company as it is to love every song on one album. Do you remember analogies from standardized tests in school? Fill in the blank: ________ is to the perfect company as Gypsy Kings are to the perfect album. The answer? Boon! Every single product they make is brilliant. The Squirt Spoon is revolutionary and Oval Animal bag necessary if you don’t want your house to be taken over by a small zoo of stuffed animals. No surprise, then, the newest Boon product we tried, the Frog Pod toy scoop and storer, is nothing less than the perfect way to collect and store bath toys. With holes in the bottom of the scoop container, water flows right out for clean storage. It can be mounted using the provided suction cups or adhesive strip. What else can I say? Love it. Also worth nothing about one of my all-time favorite companies…Boon gives 10% of profits to childrens’ charities.

Cool Tip: Green not your color? Check out the Boon Bug Pod ladybug style too.

Coolest Baby & Kid Picks in 2008

With so many products and resources to choose from, it wasn’t easy to narrow down the list to the best of 2008. But with some help from my husband, we finally picked the following twelve items. So, without further ado, these are our favorite finds for babies, kids and moms.

A Must for Mealtime: Squirt Spoon by Boon

We have a new favorite in our house. Chalk up the Squirt Spoon by Boon as one thing you can’t live without if you have a baby in the house. We used it exactly one time at a restaurant for dinner when I said, “That is the coolest thing ever” and meant it. Basically you put the baby food in the container and squeeze it; the spoon fills with food giving a whole new meaning to one handed-feeding. What I love it the ability to carry one container when going out for dinner. The food, dish and spoon are all in one. And if your baby, like mine, is old enough to eat two different foods, put veggies in the Squirt Spoon and dip it in a separate fruit (or meat) container. While you’re at it, buy one for home, another for travel and a third to give to anyone you know who has or is having a baby–it’s that cool!

Cool Tip: Buy the Squirt Spoon at Amazon.com.

Stuffed Animal Storage

Boon Oval Animal Bag

From day one at the hospital one thing was clear…Bella would soon have an abundance of stuffed animals. I began to realize why those animal nets you hang in the corner of the room existed, though I am staunchly opposed to them both practically and aesthetically, so this product is a real find! The Oval Animal Bag by Boon not only looks cute but is practical since it actually has a use (soft seat for toddler) and stores every last stuffed animal with a zippered mesh window to retrieve them. You gotta love it.

Cool Pick: It comes in pink…perfect for little girls! Buy here.

Baby Kid’s Make-Believe Boutique

When I first encountered Baby Bonkie early in my review days my first thought was I wish I could own a children’s boutique just to sell this item. My second thought was I already owned a cosmetics company and a second company was not in the cards. A year later, after reviewing another perfect product, Tutu Legz, I decided it was time to make good on my boutique. The following products represent ones I’ve personally reviewed which would be sold in a children’s boutique if I owned one, which I don’t. Have fun shopping around my make-believe boutique.
