As an social media ambassador for a handful of companies, I can honestly say each relationship grew organically as I presented brands my family uses and loves to Cool Baby Kid readers. After one year I’m as excited as ever to share Green Mountain Coffee varieties since our Keurig brewer is a daily fixture in our home. Weekday and weekend, it can be found dependably brewing single cup servings of coffee or tea for myself and my husband.
The latest delivery we received, The Original Donut Shop Coconut Mocha, was a hit with my husband, the coffee drinker, who has branched out every month as I present him with new flavors. Coconut Mocha K-Cup® pack with the “taste of a rich chocolate donut, topped with flakey coconut” as described by the brand was in his description “really good and kinda chocolate-like.” The Original Donut Shop Coffee is available in Original, Decaf, and Coconut Mocha K-Cup® packs. You can see the entire collection online at www.greenmountaincoffee.com.
And with this fun flavor comes an equally fun quiz for readers interested in winning…hang onto your hats…a Keurig Brewer!

Don’t let the fun alliterative title fool you, Neosporine Essentials are no joke. As a parent of a preschooler newly diagnosed with eczema, I couldn’t have been more excited to review this new line of products. Not only is the entire line of eczema care including daily body wash, moisturizer and anti-itch cream specifically designed for eczema sufferers, they eliminate the need for more expensive products. I was shocked a few weeks ago when scouring Target for eczema lotion and fragrance free body wash to discover how much I’d have to pay for such products. Holy pricey Batman!
Luckily not only do they seem to help my son’s delicate skin in the midst of his first flare up, but the website is also an incredible resource with help for parents and caregivers whose children can’t stop itching from this unfortunate condition. The 1% Hydrocortisone Anti-itch Cream works especially well. My son has itched some spots to the point of bleeding, so with the help of short nails, this cream and even a band-aid or two for more troublesome areas, in just a few days I’ve already noticed a marked improvement.
Neosporin Essential products “are all fragrance-free, and the National Eczema Association (NEA) has given their Seal of Acceptance to the Daily Moisturizing Cream and Daily Body Wash.” Other tools such as the Flare Discovery Tool that helps identify eczema triggers, their FAQ page and links to additional resources offer parents like myself a one-stop shop for all things eczema. This is a product I can stand behind 100%. Thanks Neosporin!
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Neosporin Essentials and received a product sample to facilitate my review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Yesterday Cool Baby Kid was live on the scene (check out our video tour) in NYC when Time to Play revealed their Most Wanted List of 2010 for the hottest toys of the season. Thank you Catherine for allowing us to be a part of one of the most coveted toy events of the year.

The smell of Johnson’s Baby Lotion is one of my favorites in the world which I directly associate with babies. And even though my own little ones are already two and four, I refuse to let them grow out of the original pink bottled baby lotion and surrender to any other scent. Most recently we tried out Johnson’s line of natural baby and kid products from a trusted brand we’ve used since 2006 when our first was born. These include:
Baby Lotion
Baby Shampoo
HEAD-TO-TOE Foaming Baby Wash
Kids 3-in-1 Shampoo Conditioner and Body Wash
Kids 2-in-1 Hand and Face Foaming Wash
Each JOHNSON’S® NATURAL™ product is 98% natural meeting the Natural Products Association guidelines. Most importantly to our family, each cleanser uses the NO MORE TEARS® forumla. While camping this summer we forgot our Johnson’s body wash for the kids and used our own resulting in both a screaming toddler and preschooler who were not happy after inadvertantly (both) rubbing their eyes with soap. ”You’re making it worse” didn’t seem to matter with an important lesson learned: all soaps and body washes are not equal when it comes to kids.
We tried all five products and plan to continue using them. The 2-in-1 Hand and Face Foaming Wash now resides on the kid’s own sink; they think they’re pretty special with a hand pump of their own rather than having soap doled out by mom or dad. As for baby, I was surprised to learn that not all natural products are necessarily safe but trust Johnson’s evaluation process to include only those which meet the specific “needs of infant skin.” Natural, in this case, really is better.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Johnson’s and received the products necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, I received a gift certificate to thank me for taking the time to participate. JumpStart, the online education game for kids we love, and creators of Pet Rescue and Escape from Adventure Island for Wii, released a new Wii game called Get Moving Family Fitness. You can view a short trailer from the game by clicking on the above link. Incorporating it into my weekly workouts, I played alone, with my husband, with small children and with older kids who are family friends. Narrated by Brooke Burke who helps along the way with tips on how to play each game, users begin by creating customized characters which is the kids favorite thing to do. Choosing to create routines or jumping right into activities, there are various sports to choose from such as soccer, football, racing and even aerobics and balance to name a few. Within each sport category there are various games. Football, for instance, includes passing, running back and tire run. You can also choose easy, medium or hard levels with our favorite customization being the scenes. With the small kids “castle” wins every time, but others to choose from include space, jungle, Atlantis, farm or, of course, beach.
With a separate screen for achievements, it’s easy to see how many calories you’ve accumulated or, using my husband’s favorite way to keep track…points. Family Fitness is a great way to mix up the workout routine and get kids moving around. While the older ones were able to navigate around on their own, even my four year old likes to pretend she’s controlling the game; she and our two year old jump for every basket I make (or miss). Personally I like to set a routine and keep it moving, but quick play is a good way to orient yourself around the game. Another winner from JumpStart and Knowledge Adventure, Family Fitness for Wii is just that…fun for the whole family.
