Darling Droolers Nursing Cover Plus Giveaway & Coupon Code

The Darling Drooler’s nursing cover is a must have for all breastfeeding moms. I am the mom of three and am currently exclusively breastfeeding my 3 month old daughter. While I have become much more comfortable nursing in public there are many situations, such as my older children’s soccer games, where I prefer to be more modest. Before trying this nursing cover I would use a receiving blanket draped over my shoulder in an attempt to prevent unwanted flashing; not an ideal situation. The Darling Droolers nursing covers are made in the USA using only the softest and highest quality in fabrics and come in a variety of boy, girl and gender neutral patterns. The strap around the neck, which threads through a D-ring, meant that the nursing cover was not slipping off of my shoulder the way a blanket would and the boning in the neckline held it open so that I could make eye contact with my baby while also helping me to get her latched on properly. When using a blanket I would find myself having to tuck my head under the blanket with her in order to get her latched. The inside bottom corner of the nursing cover is made of a plush material which is helpful for wiping the baby’s mouth, drying off the nipple, or can be used as a soft place for her head when I folded it up under her.

 One of the best features for me was that it is not too bulky so when I folded it up it didn’t take up much room in my already filled diaper bag. This has made it super convenient for me to bring along and I have been able to nurse comfortably at soccer games, a birthday party and even a children’s museum. I am so glad I found the Darling Droolers nursing cover and would definitely buy it as a gift for all my new mom friends. Also available from Darling Droolers are cute lines of burp cloths, bibs, changing pads and loveys as well as other products to be launched soon.

Laugh and Learn DVD Series: DVD Birthing Classes {Giveaway}

When I found out I was pregnant I was shocked, dubious, and then terrified. I took a test every day for four days just to make sure the baby was still there and then when I was sure I was indeed still pregnant I needed to prepare myself with information. I bought all the “best“ books and googled a different question every day regarding my symptoms. These books got me through the first couple of months, but then the terror of delivery loomed near. I registered for my first Lamaze class but was later disappointed to learn that my class dates had been postponed. At this point it was too late for me to finish all the classes with my work schedule so I did without and regretted it. I felt confused and uninformed in the delivery room and vowed not to make that mistake again.

For baby #2 I have Laugh & Learn: About Childbirth childbirth DVD to keep me calm. It is fantastic because you can watch it at any time. When there are topics that are confusing (or when your husband is not paying attention) you can simply rewind the DVD and watch it again. Also, for just $79.95 you can receive all three of Sheri Bayles’ Laugh and Learn DVDs: About About Childbirth, About Breastfeeding, and About Newborn Baby Care. If your husband is like mine he will take the “don’t know how to, can’t do it” approach. With the Laugh and Learn: About Newborn Baby Care though you don’t have to accept that excuse. This video shows you everything from swaddling to diaper changing to baths so that your husband can confidently handle these things while you are taking that much needed nap!

Another great subject is covered in the Laugh and Learn: About Breastfeeding DVD. Right after giving birth to a baby that has been living inside me for nine months the last thing I wanted to do was take breastfeeding classes; instead I wanted to get to know my baby. With this DVD you can get your most frequently asked questions answered: how do you hold them, how long do you do this, etc. and you can do it at your own pace when you are actually paying attention without a room full of visitors.

All three of DVDs cover some great topics and for only $79.95 I think this set should be at the top of any new mother’s registry.

Pumpin Pal: Breastfeeding? Liberate Yourself! {+ Giveaway}

As mom’s we always want to do what is best for our little ones. That is why I decided to breastfeed both of my children. When I went back to work with my daughter, who is now 19 months, I would pump on the floor of a closet. I would sit there for at least 15 minutes holding the shields on with nothing to do but stare at the wall. If I would have known about Pumpin’ Pal hands free pumping line with my daughter it would have made my pumping experience that much nicer and more comfortable. Pumpin’ Pal offers a variety of products for woman who are nursing their children and pumping. They recognizes that every woman’s breast is different and therefore offers the Super Shield in a variety of sizes. They come in medium, large or extra large for those gifted women like myself.

I was always looking for a way to pump and still be able to do something with my hands. My prayers have been answered. With the Pumpin’ Pal Hands-Free Strap I sit and pump while channel surfing, reading a book, eating a snack or reading a book to my daughter which also keeps me from pulling my hair out since she gets into everything when my hands are tied up. I wish I had the Hands-Free Strap when I was pumping with my daughter because I may have nursed her longer. Now with my son I need all of the extra hands I can get and Pumpin’ Pal Hands-Free Strap allows me that availability.

Pumpin’ Pal also offers a Pocket Guide to Breastfeeding and an Air-Dry Accessory Bag. The Pocket Guide to Breastfeeding offers all of the information that a nursing mom would need from choosing a breast pump to tips to returning to work. The Air-Dry Accessory Bag allows your freshly washed pumping parts to dry and it is a great place to store them. As a mother of two beautiful children it was always my goal to give them the best possible start to life outside of the womb that I protected them in for 9 months. I always knew I wanted to nurse but pumping was less then desirable because of how restrictive it was. Pumpin’ Pal has finally given me the freedom I was looking for.

Booby Trapper Nursing Canopy: A New Way to Nurse

“Finally, a nursing canopy that traps your booby, not your baby!”

I loved nursing my children. And, while the benefits of nursing are enormous, nursing in public can be both controversial and just plain hard, especially with a first baby. Keeping myself covered and baby comfortable was often a struggle. I never like n
ursing in a nasty bathroom and a blanket would never stay where I put it. If only I had a Booby Trapper back then! Booby Trapper is a mom designed, nursing canopy that is both stylish and functional. Its ingenious design keeps the material from covering baby’s face, allowing for continuous air flow, eye contact, and a better overall public nursing experience. Its generous size provides great coverage for Mom, but folds up compactly enough to fit in any purse or diaper bag. Booby Trapper is lightweight for better breathability and is available in 15 stylish, cotton fabrics, including three organic cotton options. Not only is it perfect for covering up while nursing in public, it’s also a great way to shade your baby from the sun, or create a soothing, distraction-free space for napping. Booby Trapper is available online and at select Canadian retailers.

Simply Breastfeeding: Everything You Want to Know and Then Some {+ Giveaway}

I have to say that as my pregnancy progressed what really concerned me wasn’t the actual delivery part, it was what came after. Sure you hear horror stories about labor lasting for days and the PAIN, but it as something I figured you endure for a short period of time, relatively speaking, and then it’s over. What I couldn’t stop thinking about was breastfeeding. I knew right from the start that I wanted to breastfeed. I wasn’t sure how long or if I wanted to supplement but I did know for those first 6 months I definitely wanted that connection to my child and I wanted to be able to provide all the benefits to my baby that I possibly could. However, as every woman who has gotten pregnant knows, as soon as you tell your friends you’re going to have a baby the horror stories start. The worst ones for me were the breastfeeding ones. I heard about the cracked and bleeding nipples, the embarrassing stains that always seemed to show up during a meeting at work, and countless girlfriends who just gave up after a month because it was too difficult. After hearing this I decided I needed to educate myself. I realized this wasn’t something I wanted to go into blindly. I knew there would be lactation consultants at the hospital but I figured any extra help before then could only make me more confident and, let’s be honest, after labor you’re not in the best mindset to remember the finer details or all those questions that have been running through your head for the past few months.

That’s when I found Simply Breastfeeding: The Crisco Breastfeeding Method. Crisco stands for Sheri Crisco, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Nurse Midwife who breastfed her two children before making this DVD so she brings not only her professional credentials to this video but also her own experiences that make you trust whatever she’s about to tell you. In the first video Sheri really educates you. She tells you what to expect those first few days, clues you in about what’s going on with your baby, and talks about your commitment to breastfeeding in general. I started out thinking I wanted to get to the good stuff and then realized it was all important and necessary in sticking with the whole process. The second half of the DVD then goes on to tell you about the how to breastfeed. She covers the different ways to hold your baby, how to get the best latch, and all the things you’d need to go into the process feeling confident. I would highly recommend this video to any woman who thinks she may want to breastfeed.
